Narrative
Here we are at Wadi Assal for a rest and a nice place.
And there is an interesting thing to look at here.
We have a spring issuing out of the ground.
Which is nice clean water, unlike the water that is coming down the Wadi itself which is rather green and nutrified.
The water coming out of here is beautiful and clean and you can see that the rocks around here are not covered in algae or sediment.
And this water would be perfectly safe to drink.
Delicious.
Ah, nice.
Are you still running?
Grab the crab.
That is very spooky, Chris.
It is, isn't it?
Soon thereafter, Chris was running away for unknown reasons.
Time for a comfort stop after some nice fresh water, Chris!?
Indeed, one should not be drinking water from a Wadi in Jordan.
There are too many goats pooping in the water.
Although in rare circumstances, it may be safe to drink water from a spring as demonstrated in this case.
We recommend that you always bring plenty of clean water while hiking in Jordan to avoid unnecessary comfort stops.
